Latrobe Regional Gallery, Morwell

The exhibition features a triptych by artist Kerrie Warren – a series of three paintings commissioned by the Hazelwood Power Station in 1998, and donated to the gallery by Engie Hazelwood Power Station and Mine in 2020.
Artist Kerrie Warren, normally known for her abstract expressionist artworks, was commissioned to paint a stylised depiction of the power station and mine, with images of chimneys, the open cut mine with dredger, and conveyor belt. Acrylic on Canvas, each panel is 100 x 122 cm.

The exhibition also features an 8 metre painting by Jenardiy Arkadi Zabenko which provides a valuable record of a now lost icon of the Latrobe Valley.
Historical material is also included in the exhibition with the kind assistance of the Morwell Historical Society, PowerWorks and Gippsland Regional Studies Collection, Federation University Gippsland Library.
